Description

Get your creative juices flowing and unlearn such phrases as "I can't write, "I don't have time," or "I haven't written in years" that may stop you from putting your thoughts into words and experiencing the joy and research-proven mental and physical health benefits of writing intuitively: starting at the heart; not the head.

Amy J. Barry is an award-winning columnist, children's book author, published poet, and certified expressive art & writing facilitator. She will use creative prompts and exercises to help you get the words flowing. Together we will explore a variety of short fiction forms: short story, flash fiction, and poetry, as well as creative essay/memoir. Required supplies for class: writing notebook or journal and writing utensil.
