Indian flatbreads are perfect for meals, snacks, wraps and appetizers. Naan bread is traditionally served with dishes like Butter Chicken, Chole Masala and other curries. Flour can also be fashioned into plain roti, paratha or poori. A variety of vegetables like potatoes, cabbage, radish and cottage cheese can be used as filling to create stuffed paratha. We will make Naan in class and learn how to use two different fillings to create stuffed naan. An introduction to make roti, paratha & poori will be given. A material fee of $25 is due to the instructor at the start of class and will include basic spices needed to create most Indian dishes and a bag of Indian flour. Please bring a container to take your flatbreads home and a rolling pin.
