Description

Learn engaging storytelling techniques and tools for adding depth, color, and

clarity to your writing. Unlearn such phrases as “I can’t write,” “I don’t have

time,” or “I haven’t written in years” that may stop you from putting your

thoughts into words and experiencing and research-proven mental and

physical health benefits of writing intuitively: starting at the heart; not the

head.

Amy J. Barry— an award-winning journalist, published poet, children's

book author, and certified expressive writing facilitator —will use creative

prompts and exercises” to help you get the words flowing. We will explore a

variety of short fiction genres: short story, flash fiction, and poetry, as well

as creative essay/memoir. Required supplies for class: writing notebook or

journal and writing utensil. More about Amy at  www.aimwrite-ct.net
