Description

Chicken Tikka Masala is a traditional Indian dish made of chicken marinated in yogurt, charred and simmered in a rich, creamy tomato-based sauce, flavored by spice blend of chili powder, cinnamon, black pepper, coriander, cumin, and cardamom. Chicken tikka masala is served with rice or roti (Indian flat bread). $30 material fee Instructor will provide material except chicken. Students to bring thigh meat (about a 1-2 lbs) and tupperware to take home the prepared dish. Instruction will be provided to marinate the chicken ahead of the class.

Bio:Nutan Pawar was born in India where she learned to cook from her mother, grandmothers and great grandmother - where cooking together was a way of life. She loves cooking both Indian dishes as well as Thai/Vietnamese foods. Her current favorite dishes are Lamb Biryani and Goan fish curry.
