Description
This is an introductory course in basic conversational Italian, such as introductions, ordering in restaurants, and travel related vocabulary. Emphasis will be on key words and phrases and not on Grammar. Dialogues and conversations will be analyzed and discussed. Examples include dining out, ordering at a café, using the railway, checking in at hotel, etc.
Time will also be dedicated to the culture and customs of Italy. For example, did you know that things like pepperoni, chicken alfredo, and veal parmesan are all Italian-American inventions? These and many more will be discussed.
All materials provided by the instructor.
A materials fee of $20 due in exact change the first night of class.
