Description
Material Fee: $5.00 due in exact change the first night of class.
Materials list: 1 skein worsted weight (#4) acrylic yarn, light colored, (ex. Caron Simply Soft, Lion Brand Vanna’s Choice, Red Heart Super Saver, Loops and Threads Classic, Mainstay Medium); US #8 (5 mm) straight knitting needles - 1 pair each bamboo/wood, plastic and aluminum; spiral notebook or legal pad for notes.
Learn knitting basics - casting on, knit and purl stitches, common border stitches and casting off. Compare needle materials (bamboo/wood, plastic and aluminum) to choose your preference.
Instructor has over 60 years knitting experience and is knowledgeable in numerous knitting techniques. She has taught knitting for more than 10 years to both individual students and classes of 2 to 10.
